Social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VDM, has weighed in on the ongoing detention of Speed Darlington, following concerns raised by the singer’s lawyer, Stan Alieke. Reports suggest Darlington has been held for a week without bail, prompting accusations of police oppression and misuse of power.
In a video shared online, VDM urged Burna Boy to take legal action if he’s involved, stating that the singer should be held accountable and any debts repaid. He expressed disapproval of Darlington’s behavior, particularly the involvement of Burna Boy’s mother in the feud. VDM emphasized his deep respect for mothers, saying, “I take my mother seriously, and involving someone’s mother crosses the line.”
VDM also highlighted flaws in Nigeria’s judicial system, recalling his own experience of being detained without bail. He criticized the prevalence of corruption, stating that many innocent people remain in prison due to bribes influencing the justice process.
Speed Darlington previously made headlines for demanding an apology from Burna Boy’s mother, adding another layer of tension to the ongoing controversy.Click here to watch video
