Music Icon Tiwa Savage Reveals Acting Was First Love, She Turned to Music to Get Close to Her Crushes

In an interview with MTV Live, Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage revealed that her passion for music stemmed from her childhood crushes. Tiwa claimed that she had always wanted to be close to her crushes, who were often seen hanging out with artists. This desire ultimately led her to pursue a career in music rather than acting, even though it was her first love. Now, Tiwa has made her Nollywood debut in the film "Water and Garri," which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. 

In her words: “I’ve always wanted to do acting. Acting was one of my first love before music. I got into music because I had a crush on a guy and he was always around the musician so I said ‘yeah, forget acting and just go into music.’”Click here to watch video
