Famous Nigerian singer and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, popularly known as Mr Eazi, recently shared how he was inspired by legendary Nigerian artist 2BABA, formerly known as 2Face, and Jamaican dancehall star Beenie Man. Mr Eazi revealed that his catchphrase, 'Zagadat,' was influenced by the lyrics in 2Face's 'Nfana Ibaga' remix featuring Beenie Man.

In an interview with Capital Xtra UK, Mr Eazi clarified that he wouldn't have any copyright issues with the slang because he didn't use it exactly as it was in the song. He expressed his appreciation for Beenie Man and 2Face, stating, 'Big shout out to Beenie Man and 2Face. I got my catchphrase 'Zagadat' from their song 'Nfana Ibaga' remix, specifically from the line, 'And the Lord say let there be light. Zagazaga za.' That's where it's from, bro.

Mr Eazi emphasized that he didn't have to pay royalties for using 'Zagadat' since he didn't say 'Zagagaza za' like in the original song. It's clear that his catchphrase was inspired by these iconic artists, adding his own unique twist to it."
