Jemima Osunde exposes troubling changes within Nollywood because Nigerian filmmakers now demand actors must possess social media fame to secure roles. During an interview with fellow actor Jammal Ibrahim Osunde exposed that filmmakers now demand actors to maintain content creation platforms in order to receive movie roles. She described that filmmakers currently demand actors to establish social media content creation before granting casting opportunities. Actors must create dance-friendly internet content to secure roles according to this industry requirement. The actor Demialoshi Osunde stated that actors ought not to bear responsibility for selling films online through their social media content.
The casting decision depends on social media followers as filmmakers require actors who can efficiently promote the film. According to her professional viewpoint this responsibility does not belong to actors at all. Jammal Ibrahim continued the discussion by informing that exceptional management practices help actors navigate the social media trends. I explained to my management team that dancing was out of my abilities because I lacked talent. A skilled manager supports your individual traits instead of forcing you to resemble others according to Ibrahim. I will not do a public relations dance unless I have actual skills to perform the stunt. The camera does not suit me when I have to look awkward because that is not my personality.
