Popular Nigerian cross-dresser and social media celebrity, Idris Okuneye, aka Bobrisky, has been sentenced to six months in prison without an option of a fine by a Federal High Court in Lagos. He was arrested last week for using the local currency, the Naira, in an inappropriate manner. 
Bobrisky pleaded guilty to the charges against him, and the court held that his conduct was damaging to the country's image. The judge added that the sentence will serve as a deterrent to others. Bobrisky's prison term starts from the date of the verdict, with no option for bail.
