He Used Tongue! – Osas Ighodaro Shares Shocking First On-Screen Kiss Experience

Oscar nominated actress Osas Ighodaro has discussed her first on screen kiss in Nollywood and it was, to say the least, not what she had imagined.

In a recent episode of The Culture League podcast, Osas, who returned to Nigeria in 2012 after a stay in the U.S, said that the first kiss scene in the industry had a bitter surprise.

She says that she was ready to be kissed but never envisioned the actor to take things past the fundamentals.

In her words:

I was surprised when I was kissed the first time on-screen in Nigeria. I was aware of the kiss and I had expected to see an on-screen kiss. You should not in my experience put your tongue down the mouth of somebody. But the person did. At the low-end, when you are about to do an on-screen kiss you talk about it, like, Oh, I am going to put my tongue in your mouth. But when you do not discuss it, then you know its the basics.

The actress termed this as the first impolite act to shock her in Nollywood and it indicated that professionalism and appropriate communication must always precede such scenes.
