Afropop star Shalipopi has officially announced his departure from Dapper Music, following allegations of exploitation by the label’s management.
In a statement shared on Instagram, the "Elon Musk" crooner highlighted several reasons for his exit, including a lack of transparency with his finances, conflicts of interest that threatened his career, and an unjust ‘forever deal.’
"I come to you today with a heavy heart. I’m officially ending my agreements with Dapper Music. I had to take this decision after my trust was broken, my finances mishandled, and my rights as an artist were disregarded. I’ve worked hard and deserve to know where my money is going. I was denied access to my money," he wrote.
Shalipopi also urged fans to distance themselves from any collaborations involving him and the record label while expressing gratitude for their continued support.
This comes shortly after Seyi Vibez announced his own departure from Dapper Music, raising questions about the label’s management practices.
