In a video shared on Instagram from the UK, Kanayo urged Nigerians to respect Davido’s right to free speech, emphasizing that the singer’s remarks were made in good faith.
“Nigerians, make una leave Davido alone about the comment he made; it’s freedom of speech. It is left for those in power to work harder to give us a better Nigeria,” Kanayo said.
He further dismissed calls for an apology from Davido, asserting that the singer’s billionaire status doesn’t negate his concern for ordinary Nigerians. “Some people say he should apologize; apologize for what? Davido and his family can feed well, but he speaks for other Nigerians who cannot,” Kanayo added. The actor’s support has added a new dimension to the ongoing conversation, with many Nigerians reflecting on the state of the nation and the importance of freedom of expression.Click here to watch video
