The saga between Speed Darlington and Burna Boy has taken a dramatic turn as activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju revealed that his efforts to secure bail for the controversial singer have been unsuccessful. Speed Darlington, who was rearrested in Owerri during a show, was transferred to Abuja, where he remains in police custody.

According to Adeyanju, the arrest stems from a cyberstalking complaint filed by Burna Boy, who Speed Darlington has repeatedly criticized on social media. In a viral video, Darlington taunted Burna Boy over his Grammy win and his connection with embattled U.S. rapper Sean "Diddy" Combs. Adeyanju has accused Burna Boy of using his influence to silence the singer, labeling it an act of oppression.

Despite widespread support from figures like Omoyele Sowore and other legal professionals, the police have yet to release Darlington, citing the severity of the defamation claims. Netizens are divided, with some calling out Burna Boy for allegedly abusing his power, while others believe Darlington crossed a line.
