Davido: Nigeria Needs Better Leaders to Succeed

Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has emphasized that effective leadership is the key to Nigeria’s progress. Speaking on the Elevate Africa Convos podcast, the artist highlighted that while Nigeria is a country with immense potential, poor governance continues to stifle its growth.

"I tell people, if you can survive in Nigeria, you can survive anywhere," Davido remarked. "The only thing we’re missing is the right leaders to guide us. Once we get that right, there’s nothing that can stop us."

Davido’s comments follow his recent caution to Americans against relocating to Nigeria, citing economic instability. In another podcast interview, he expressed concern about the absence of genuine democracy in the country, reiterating the need for better governance to secure Nigeria’s future.
