In a recent interview on TVC's Wake Up Nigeria, Nollywood actress Eberechukwu Bayray Nwizu shed light on the growing trend of Brazilian Butt Lifts (BBL) as a requirement for women to secure movie roles in Nigeria's film industry.

Nwizu expressed her concern about the shift in priorities within the industry, noting that while Nollywood has seen growth in terms of finances and infrastructure, there has been a decline in the recognition of raw talent. She mentioned that producers now often prioritize social media sensations to boost their productions.

She emphasized the importance of finding a balance between profitability and talent, stating, "Ten years ago, it was about fairness, height, and body size. Now, it's about having a BBL." However, Nwizu also highlighted the positive side of the changing landscape, encouraging aspiring actors to take advantage of streaming platforms and create their own content.

She urged individuals to seize opportunities and not feel pressured to conform to certain beauty standards. Nwizu acknowledged that there will always be those who insist on specific requirements, but emphasized that aspiring actors now have more options to showcase their talent.

Nwizu's insights shed light on the evolving dynamics of the Nollywood industry and the importance of embracing individuality.
